Linoleic Acid![]() |
||||
No adverse side effects have been reported from high intakes of linoleic acid. Until more is known about long-term consequences, the health experts responsible for the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs) recommend that linoleic acid intake should be limited to no more than 10% of total calories. For a 2,000 calorie diet, that would equate to 22g. of linoleic acid.
A diet that supplies at least 3g. to 6g. of linoleic acid daily will prevent a deficiency of this nutrient.
