Tryptophan![]() |
||||
As with all amino acids, excellent sources of trytophan include meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy products.
Wheat and oat products, and nuts supply this amino acid.
Corn, legumes, and rice are poor sources of tryptophan.
Most people consume more protein than is needed by the body; consequently, a deficiency of tryptophan is rare except in cases of malnutrition.
